Returns & Refunds

At Smarter Surfaces™, we try our very best to ensure customers are completely satisfied with their orders. If for any reason, you need to return goods to us, please follow the steps below.

Returns process and refund policy for Smarter Surfaces™ products:

For your peace of mind, you may return unused and unopened Smarter Surfaces products in accordance with the terms outlined below. Refunds are subject to eligibility checks and applicable deductions as described in this policy.

Customers wishing to return an order must notify us within 14 days of delivery. Once the return request has been acknowledged, products must be returned to the warehouse within 14 days of this notification.

If you wish to do so, please follow the steps below:

• Email support@smartersurfaces.com.au explaining the reason for your return. Please also state your order number.
• A support agent will request that you return the items to our headquarters. The goods will then be inspected to ensure they are of merchantable quality. Please note, most domestic postal services will not accept paint and/or liquids and you may have to return the goods using a courier.
• Once the goods are confirmed to be in resellable condition, an approved refund will be issued in accordance with the Refund Processing & Deductions policy.

Most of our products can be shipped with standard couriers however Smart Whiteboard Paint must be shipped using specific shipping labels. If you wish to return it please contact us and we will provide the necessary labels for you to place on the box before providing to your chosen courier.

If you decide to cancel or change your order before it arrives, we recommend that you refuse delivery from the courier. This will result in the goods being returned to us directly without the need for new shipping labels.

Should you decide to cancel or change your order after it has been delivered and accepted by you, we cannot take responsibility for its return. We can only issue a refund once the goods have been returned to us and reviewed.

Refund Processing & Deduction Policy

Any approved refund, whether due to order cancellation (before or after dispatch), returned goods (after delivery), or other eligible circumstances, will be processed to the original payment method used at checkout.

Please note that the refunded amount may be adjusted to reflect any non-refundable charges incurred by Smarter Surfaces through third-party payment partners. These may include, but are not limited to:

• Payment transaction or processing fees
• Chargeback or dispute handling fees
• Currency conversion or international processing fees
• Other administrative or payment-related charges incurred at the time of purchase or refund

These charges are imposed by payment providers and are outside of the control. As such, they may be deducted from the total refund amount where applicable.

Return Charges

The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges. No unpaid returns will be accepted. Note: In the unlikely event that the items are damaged by the carrier, you will be able to file a claim with the delivering carrier for the full cost of the items damage
